The construction of the fence around the Temporary Relocation Accomodation (TRA) facility is underway and progressing well.

The tender for the construction of the engineering services for Phase 1 of the Mossel Bay UISP is currently being advertised, and the construction of the TRA facility forms part of Phase 1.  The TRA facility will be used for the duration of the roll-out of the Mossel Bay UISP programme currently scheduled to be implemented over a 9 year period.

The municipality took the decision to appoint a fencing contractor to erect a fence around the TRA site, to safeguard the site from any land invasions occurring in the time before the construction of the engineering services can start as well as to protect the TRA facility once it becomes operational.
